I made a heck of a score on an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold for the 454 I'm building for Black Beauty at a yard sale today,,,It is a high riser dual plane design. I'm thinkin the woman's hubby is gonna be one mad sob when he gets home,,,,!!! And,,,and,,I DID NOT jew her down any,,I gave her what she asked for,,,I keeps tellin ya'll I've got a disarming and friendly face,,,,,,  The only'ist thing is it needs some "build up" ON THE INSIDE of the 4 corner places where the water jackets dead end on the manifold. None of the washed places go into the gasket areas and none of the places are any deeper than say 1/8" deep,,,but be'in me,,,I dislike leavin things unfinished,,,but I'm also not a waster,,,,, I was thinkin BelZona as it is good to 500°,,,,any thoughts or recommendations,,???

Belzona should work just fine for your application. The surface must be CLEAN, firm and ROUGH.

You know,,Shameless,,,I always seem to wind up with them like that,,,and them are the ones that I always seem to get the best'est deals out of,,,,,,this one kept fiddelin with the top button of her blouse,,,like maybe her blouse was chokin her,,,??? By Golly,,Coke,,,there WAS a set of nice lookin clubs in the cawnor ,,,think they said ping or pink or something like that,priced at $50,,I wasn't payin too much attention to that,,I was too busy wheelin and dealin,,,,,Ya know,,??

I'm thinkin thet dude must of done some really BAD chit agin her cause most of the stuff she had for sale,,,UMMMm,,,I mean "give away" looked to have been his,,,he either got caught like ole Billy on the Lolita Express ,,,,,,
I also picked up a pair of 10X50 binoc's, Zeiss brand for $5 with a leather case even,,,,,I'ma gonna swing by again this AM to check her out ,,err,,check out the sale again as she told me there would be more stuff on Saturday,,,, |

Well,,Thad,,,I'm knowin you is a hunter like me and a good pair of binocs, in the field, is worth their weight in gold,,,,and,,,and,,the mfgr of this pair surely thought like that,,,!! I checked these out and the Victory RF model was bout $3,000 new,,,! Chit,,the hard leather case was over $100 bucks. Thinkin I'ma gonna put em on Ebay and try to get my money back,,,, I got on top of my house and I can just barely see the back of ole Shameless's house where he been building his outdoor kitchen,,,and if it wasn't for all them trees along thet road to your house,,, I could make out your house too,,,,,, They's pretty good binocs,,,,,,

Well,,,,as a fact of the matter,,,she DID have a few rifles in a gun cabinet but she said they were not for sale,,,,,,,,yet!! By the way,,Thad,,,WHO told you bout all them guns she had,,,?? I did go over there Sat morning but the sale had been rescheduled to a later date according to a sign on garage door,,,,,,I called her and she told me her daughter got sick but I had first dibs on the whole gun cabinet,,,,if I wanted it,,,,!!!!!
I had taken a quick glance and one of the rifles had a scope bigger'n any I ever seen,,,,,,jimminy,,,!! |

I never did it but had friends over the years that sent intakes back to Edelbrock for re-work and fine tuning. May be worth a call?

| Joe, I've tigged (sic) these sort of things with good success. Just make sure where you weld is very clean, and don't get it so hot that it slumps. If working around a fairly thin corner you have to move along pretty fast. I'm sure you have a tig welder stuck around there some where, maybe stuck in the trunk of the '55. Leon |

Hey Tim,,,well that is something I had not thought of,,,might give em a call see what they will or can do,,Thanks for the heads up,, Naw,,Leon,,,I am kinda welder poor,,,I just gots 4 of them mig sobs and finally a good quality 220 Lincoln that is a great machine for a dobber like me,,,, I've been wantin a Tig machine for the longest,,,,they tell me you can get a "conversion Kit" for an arc welder to do Tig welding but I'm gonna start savin my dollars and get a real Tig machine,,,,? HMMmmmm,,,,maybe I could send you the manifold,,,,?
