And out of shape. I pulled the motor out of my old work truck. Today my arthritis is flared way up. Been taking CBD oil and trying physical therapy. The pt just about had me bed ridden. Gonna cut it in half and see what happens. The other option is surgery and missing work. The old me would of had the old motor out and the new one in yesterday . I don’t get in any hurry anymore.

Thad, Hope you get to feeling better. Arthur is not our friend for sure. I get it in my hand joints periodically, depending on how much and what I do. The joints get sore and some of them have those "knobs" growing on them. Dexterity is a problem too, getting those small nuts and screws started, etc. Advancing maturity isn't fun all the time. I find that retirement is necessary for me to get done what I used to do in the evenings and weekends, or maybe less. We have to keep moving and doing things worth getting up for in the mornings. Dad always said that if we were to live to an old age to keep busy both physically and mentally. Keep on doing those projects.

Well Thad, part of why we feel the way we do these days is because of the way we did things in our younger days!

I hear you on the PT, they think it is the panacea for everything these days. Don't get me wrong PT is good, but when it isn't working somehow they put it off on you that your not trying hard enough. Usually the younger ones that have never experienced these pains ever. Doing what therapy your comfortable with and looking into Anti-Inflammatory foods for your condition is what helps me. I still need Oxy now and again with as warm a soak as I can handle. (Back and Shoulder)

Yeah,,,Thad,,I feel for you,,,,,,we just gots to look for "other" ways of doin things and not get upset when things take longer to do than they used to. Kinda like using "cheaters" on them tough old bolts and big prybars instead of pushig and jerking on chit,,,,, I still get upset when I can't get things done in the time i used to but am slowly getting to where I do not get so dang upset and just go do something else for a little while,,,, For one thing,,I still gots too many dang projects and I have stopped takin in any other work till I finish what I got apart now,,,,,(thas what I told myself the other day),,,,,

Hello BOYS I have gotten to the place in time where I can LOOK at it, and not care if it gets done or not. Been there done that. Years ago looking at the number of projects To do, if I worked 60 hrs a week it would take 50 yrs to finish. I do what I want to and the things I have to. At this time BODY don't hurt and I like that.

About 15 years ago arms started aching. started taking fish oil pills, hasn't bothered since. about the same time Dr. put me on blood pressure pills. the reactions were not acceptable , I told him it would prevent me from working on construction. He says take the dam pills . I said good-by. cut out salt and reduced milk to 2% started eating fruits and unsalted nuts( about 6 kinds).for breakfast, more vegetables, never smoked and don't drink. started to keep my weight down. still can lift 50 lbs over my head. Only pill is for postrate control witch is free at Sams. People can't believe I am almost 80. Life has been a blast. Raising 2 great grandchildren. I feel there is a better life than getting trapped by pill pushers that make you succumb to pills with side effects. Wish you guys the best of luck

Your luck it worked. We have a bil that done that and a year ago this past January 1 he was hauled to the hospital, he couldn't walk Neurophathy, he can't control his bowelsor blander. They are just getting him so that with help from a lifting devise so he can stand up, don't think he's able to take any steps even with people hanging on to him with a walker.
