Anyone know where to get wood chain blocks for Gleaners for a reasonable price? Abilene machine has them on ebay for $14.00 each plus $14.00 shipping which is totally ridiculous.

We cut a half dozen out of the main strut of an oak pallet. We used a scroll saw but a sabre saw would possibly suffice.

Could you use a block of UHMW 'plastic' ?

If you can find a scrap of Epai (sp ?) .Some super hardwood from the jungle, used for decking. You MUST predrill for screws ! Air nails won't do it either !!

Get a oak tier pole out of a tobacco barn.
Cut to shape ( may need a metal blade ) and put in used motor oil for 30-40 days.
It should last for 30-40 years.

Made a bunch this fall for an all crop 90 from white oak. Used a band saw. Worked great
