Warmed up to 20 last night has been single digits for the last week. My shop heat has been on since we got 18" of snow in sept. It's around 50 in the shop all winter. Except Friday's we have out door movie Friday nights so I turn it up to 75.

Long Island New York.
Yesterday morning it was 57 degrees, used tractor, picked up sticks, raked leaves, last mowing of lawn.
Then it got cold and it started to lightly snow about 1pm.
This morning it was 22 degrees and windy. Then the power went out which makes you wonder. It came back on quickly. Now I need to get some gas, diesel and propane just in case. Stocked with wood. For a month I was thinking about testing the generator, now I can do a cold start test.

Summer is over!

Folks,
NWPA 23 degrees snow and cold. Worked in the sugarhouse all day and temp in there was about 30F had a electric heater to thaw my pinkies.
Ordered a refill on the 250 gal propane tank.
Wood fire sure would feel good to warm the house like the old days!
Yep winter is here. Dang!
Regards,
 Chris

14 this AM, 7 WC.
Shop was 47 and that was with one pellet stove going all night.
I am going to wait until this afternoon to run the plasma table.
When it is running, a door has to be open. It has a 4000 cfm exhaust fan on it.
I do have a stack of metal ready to cleanup and weld.

I've got a good used furnace 112,000 btu, set up for LP could be changed to Nat. gas, could even be set up for fuel gas. It's setting in my barn not being used. I'd part if anyone is interested.

Y'know, I've been thinking - If they declassified Pluto as a planet because among other things it's too small, then we should DECLASSIFY AUTUMN AS A SEASON BECAUSE IT'S TOO SHORT!!!

Record lows here yesterday. Snow on the ground. Gotta work a inside show in Des Moines this weekend. Should be a good 1. The gals have been cooped up for a week or two. They will be a wanting to get out and at least look around. I bought a 500 gallon LP tank a couple of weeks ago. I hope to have a furnace and central air put in the Production building this coming spring. Using a couple of electric heaters now.

Mid 40's and raining most of yesterday, last night, and up until around noon today. Then it cleared up and should be nice for a few days. Old Fisher wood heater got the house at the farm toasty warm last night. Had to go run around in the yard naked just to cool down. Brrrr......that rain was cold!

WinkI was tired of 60 or less in the house so I finally been making fire in the fireplace. Last spring was iffy so I never cleaned the ashes outLOL. So I had plenty to cover a nice piece of dry red oak. Wink No matches or paper needed but the first start. Uncovered red hot coals of that oak after 24 hours. LOL Out and about socializing at the one room school house on Friday night,so no fire.

Had the furnace running a few hours in the morning, but have be careful with LP gas $3.50 a gl in summer. Now with all the wet corn a 1000+ miles away LOL be a good excuse to raise the price here.
