Went to moms yesterday. The crops are flying out of the fields. I saw combines of all colors running. Beans seem a little dirty this year. There are pods just above the dirt. I see a lot of yellow bean heads on Deere combines this year. Old gal drug me to Menards last night. Got home about 10:15, the boys up north were still hitting them beans hard at that time. I hope you guys still farming have good luck getting things harvested.

Harvest here came to a screeching halt we got 18" of snow last weekend now all the fields are under water.only thing we have harvested is wheat. And some canola. Soys stood up so if it drys we can gett them the rest of the canola is laying down pintos are on the ground and the corn is standing tall we might have to wait till freeze to get it off. Only about 25% of beets are done. Crystal sugar shut down one plant they have enough betts to keep the other running for a month. Once they shut down it takes a month to reset before they can start up again.

Took my Uni 708 with a 844N corn head to the field, yesterday. Picked 200bu in app one hour. Yield is down, it forgot to rain here, from late July to the first of Oct.

Years ago a cousin of mine had a Uniharvester with a 4 row head. I never saw anything pick corn so fast. There was no way anyone could unload wagons fast enough to keep up with him. Seemed like quite a machine for picking ear corn.

I pick about 1000 bu for my neighbor each year. They have 5- 100-125bu (shell corn rated) wagons. One pulls the wagons and two unload. When we are getting close to done, I am waiting on wagons. Three years ago, I hit a good spot in one of my fields and picked 150bu in under 20 min's. I miss the old days of 80-100 ac and a one row, mounted picker. I want to set it up to mow and bale hay with. Put 3- 4' wide drum mowers on it, then put a inline baler in the middle. Cut the hay, then take the mowers off, put a pickup head on, with V rakes out front.
