| Any one familiar with the hydraulic pump that tips the trailer bed on my H&H trailer. Pumps could be the same on any trailer. there is no mechanical lock down. one day I noticed the bed had raised about 3-4 inches. and another time the bed tipped up a couple of inches with nothing on it. |

If it's an electrohydraulic pump, then you either have something that's causing the motor to kick on (like... a mouse) or... you need to press the DOWN button for a minute or three, and add more hydraulic fluid... then repeat the process every few hours. What usually causes this, is air bubbles in the hydraulic fluid circuit between the cylinder and the pump. As the machine sits, any bubbles that were compressed with the oil on prior cycles will slowly expand, eventually causing a little pressure to appear in the circuit, slightly raising the bed. ------------- Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest. |

Sounds like it needs bleeding, top off fluid, cycle a few times, in a flat spot. could also have a short, as said above, or something hitting the solenoid, or a smart-ass in your family, or neighborhood, who's messing with you... ------------- Source: Babylon Bee. | Thanks fella's I'll look in to these ideas, it's locked in a barn, so that eliminates one thing. I've never seen any leaks, but the pistons have that crusty oil looking dirt on them, so maybe they need topping off. |

I have a Sure-trac and never had any problem with it. --- is yours a 2-way system?--when mine comes down the 2-way action holds it down. If you have a 1-way system air could build up and make it act funky.--- top off res, cycle it a few times and see if that helps. ------------- http://machinebuildersnetwork.com/ |
