Just got back from two weeks in Europe, mostly Germany and Holland. Saw lots of tractors and corn, thought I was in Iowa or something. Heard most of it is used for biofuel. Will tell more if anyone is interested.

I'm pretty busy trying to catch up with two weeks of stuff I should have done before I left but in the next few days I'll try to write some more. As for pictures, I still haven't gotten that figured out since the forum went to it's new format several years ago.
Joe, sorry to disappoint you, but the partner I went with, or actually met over there, is my cousin and her husband. The three of us managed to get along for two weeks which I consider a success. They live in Ohio, I'm 1400 miles west so seeing them, and the couple who's wedding we attended was great fun. I lived in Germany for 11 months back in the late 1960's under a government education program called the US Army, so it was interesting to see how things had changed (and stayed the same) over 50 years. Not sure I ever want to take that long a plane ride again, close to 30 hr if you figure in the layovers and 8 hours difference in time from Germany to Colorado. Can't imagine going to Asia in one leg, something like 23 hours in a plane, no way!
Dale, I was going to call you but didn't get around to it. Was afraid your local shareholder would find out and come over and sell all my Allis's and stuff.

Farmer John I guess the closest Graycie and I will ever get to Holland will be South Holland Illinois. All our ancestors were Woodenshoes on both sides of our family. I guess that makes both of us and our 4 boys Woodenshoes too. Neither one of us regret getting baptized in the Dutch Reformed Church of America and raising our boys the same way. This was before we moved to Texas from South Holland in 1968. The Onion Set Capitol of the United States

HEY John!! I didn't miss ya at all. Heck, I've missed EVERYBODY! My puter (laptop) went Kaput back the end of August and I just got it going again. I really didn't have time to fix it, so I missed a LOT. I gotta ketch up again though.
Glad you had a great time! I know all about that plane ride to Asia....back in the late 60s also. Got back to the states by ship though. LOTS more fun on a ship as you get to hit a lot of ports on the way. Spent 3 days on Catalina Island. GREAT place and yes, I would go back there again. NO ONE except Mr. Wriggly could have an auto on the island at that time. We could see the anchor in the sand, the bay was so clear.
Glad you're back!! Me too!!
