| I'm looking to purchase a D-15 Series II from a neighbor. It runs out perfect except a very loud whine noise coming from the rear end when driven in fourth gear. All other gears are good with no issues. It doesn't sound like a bearing, more like the bull gear on right side. Has anyone else experienced such an issue and ideas how to fix it? Thanks |

Pretty normal for any D15 to have a howl when run at speed in fourth, have a number of 15's and it'll get your attention when run in 4th if you have not done it for a while. Still a good idea to check fluid in finals . . . .

Our series II has always done that since it was new. I had to replace a bearing in the bull gear of 'Troy', D-14 #1. Replacing it was easy... mopping up the oil wasn't fun though OR the loaded tire....
