There is a post on another forum about D-21 pullers and some seem to think that was/is the best looking ALLIS of all time. I personally think it's an ok looking machine but I am partial to the looks of an XT, especially if it's dualled up.Also the black bellied 7000's are real head turners IMO. Curious what others think as I have a feeling we will be having ample "reading" time due to the last weather forecast that I saw for "here" Unhappy .

2. 8000 series
3. Unstyled WC

I would have to say the D-21 even though I don’t own anything in the D series runner up would be a 220.

I have to agree with Mack...nothing better than a D21...just looks like a Brut....and they are

Kinda like the bull dog on the hood of a 1 stack Mack

No offense meant there to our Mack.....oh I better just be quiet now

B's and C's are may favorite but the 190,200, and 21s have always caught my eye too.

The simple unadorned hand crank 38 and 39 Bs with hand brakes and no lights and no muffler cluttering up its profile has to be my favorite.  A IB comes in a close second because they are just plain neat to look at.

That is a good looking tractor, but can someone tell me how they get the decals on the filters to be in "basically" the same position when tightened? That's the kind of detail that catches my eyes. My luck I would have 1 facing out and the other facing the block LOL!!! Thanks for the pic

The D21 is a sharp looker but for me an early 190XT with the slope fenders and a narrow front looks about as good as it gets. A painted up D15 series II or a later D17 looks good as well.Tom

My favorite looker is still the unstyled WC. Many others run a close second, but unstyled WC it is.

Thought this was an impressive pic...

A 220 would rank right up there, along with the 190XT series III.

Thou the one I liked thge best when growing up was this one, an old WD on LP gas.
https://allischalmers.com/FORUM/uploads/242/WD_LP.jpg
It pulled 3-14 plow, an 8' disc, planted, raked hay, baled hay, cultivated corn, picked corn and was a daily chore tractor for years. and then one year the picker didn't come off after we were done and has been a picker tractor ever since.  Probably due to the fct we had another WD, a WD45 and a D17 by that time.

My favorite looking model is the D14/D15 style with the wide front ends...and man are they comfortable to drive! The steering wheel, floor boards, gauges, etc. are all perfectly designed for comfort.

C actually all the styled tractors WD45,WD,Wc,Ca,C and the B.the C has always been my favorite. The round smooth style is just artwork. Its far from the most comfortable not easy to get on or off,but it sure looks good.

So true.  I drove my WD45 Diesel this weekend and it was not good on my back.  I was glad to hop back on the D14!

#1 8000 series including the 4W-220
#2 6000 series
#3 Black belly 7000 series

Worst looking the 100 and 200 series honestly looks wise a step back from the D10-19. D21 looks to much like a 200 series.

Ok I'm biased here but my favorite is a WD that dad put a 6cyl gas motor in. 16.9 28s big 3 rib fronts and an oval muffler that had a sound like nothing else. After that, a 220 with 34s

To me the nicest looking Allis Chalmers Tractor is a C.
Back in the day (40 - 50) there was a picture of a C raking on the cover of Farm Journal.  Great looking picture.
Good Luck!

I really like a good 45 as well! The one I have with the wide front and 16.9X28s gets stared at whenever I'm in that shed.

any d series.. I prefer the d14 and d17 though

For me the best looking is probably a dolled up 200 like the pic earlier and then the 210 and any of the hundred series. I prefer the looks of the 210 over the 220 because it just looks a little sleeker and fast. Followed closely by the black belly 7000 series with stadium lights and duals.

The worst I think..... now don't jump on me, is the D21. It looks too much like an IH or Oliver with the grill and I never liked sloped fenders on anything. Also I was disappointed in the looks of the 8000 series when they first came out. Again the grill was what I didn't like. It should have been left raked forward like the 7000 series.

Boy I remember when I was little in the early to mid 70's playing with my Dad's toy 190 my Mom bought him when they first got married probably back in 64 or 65 and then going over to my cousin's where he had a new toy 200. I really have had a soft spot for a 200 ever since and today I own a pretty nice one but not the toy.... yet.

I just can't put my finger on it, but a D-21 has (to me at least) "faint" body/hood lines of a JD 4000 series Ermm

I can sort of see the IH-ish look of the D21, can't say as I can see a Deere look to it.  I like it because it's so unique and badass.  Chrome stack, and ooh man!

Talk about being bashed: A WD looks like it was thrown together with mismatched spare parts, and if you hit a bump it looks like the seat would double as a decent catapult.  8000 series with the rearward rake grill looks like an ugly piranha, where the 7000 just looks like it's pulling even when it's just sitting there!

Ted, I have NO illusions of your statement, we ran a WD and a series 2 D-17 for YEARS, still have a "PINING" for the early D series with the headlights on the radiator shell. The  "goofy" looking fender-mount series 3 looks like @#)% to me(JMO). seems like we ran a D-19 with the fender mounts, but that is a different story.

The black frame 7080 with lights and mirrors. Outfit them with diamond front tires and a full rack of weights.

The 200 with cab and air. Pie weights and a rack of twelve.

WD45 D with nf and power steering.

OK, ok, a D21 Series II. Let's face it, they are special, and always will be.

The two rib fenders on a UC and outfitted with the 8" Guide headlights.

I have seen posts like this before. Which one looks the nicest or meanest, favorite or least favorite, and I love them. 5 Stars
