? For Dr Allis ; have you ever used Hercules 2” journal rods 8 “ long on a 45 crank offset ground ? If so what piston did you use ?

Marty liked to to use H farmall rods up to 5.5 stroke or so, never heard him say anything about hercules

I used a set in one engine. They're a nice rod. Just a bit uncommon to find is all. The engine I used them in was a deal where someone's crankshaft shop had messed up the crank so the I decided of the crankpins was off. I had to re weld it to get it ground correct. As far as piston, that's up in the air as to hour bore size, desired compression ratio, etc.

I've got a bunch of flathead continental rods that are a 2.062" crankpin diameter and a few different lengths. 7.875, 7.937, if my memory serves me correctly. I don't have time to mess with much anymore but I've got a few sets of a few different lengths on a shelf that I'd like to get rid of if they interested someone.

Marty, we may have to talk again. Been trying to build the WD up some more for the last couple winters but never seems to happen, hoping to try for this winter, if you have any parts laying around and a little guidance. Hope things are going well with the super.
