I spied out two W series Allis, they are both for parts only as they have been roughly treated, very roughly , anyway the one is a WD-45,engine stuck, with a wide front end and just about perfect rear rims. Tother is a styled WC, engine turns over freely and has spoked rear rims which are in surprisingly great shape, Question is are either worth $400. Here in Florida A/C's are pretty thin. Thank you all.

Well, seeing as a new spin out rim is over $300.00 anywhere I have seen I don't see how you can get hurt. Not sure what the spoked rims are worth but you don't see a good set of those every day either.

Figure out the cost as scrap ,seeing how they are both nonrunning, add 10-15% as an entry offer. I'm thinking both for $600 would be a good deal. Also add in cost of a good dinner for the GF, a GREAT dinner if she rides shotgun on trip !

Just go get them. You will find out it is easier to beg for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission. Ask me how I know. I just call her up and ask her if she loves me and then her response is what are you dragging home now. It is true there are more women out there but it is more fun and a challenge to change them.

Like the guys mentioned "get another girlfriend" there's plenty out there. The next one ya git' has to like Tractors, cars, trucks, trailers, and hotrods. And especially knows how to cook! It took me a couple shots and a lot of money, but I finally found one like that.... LOL! Oh, about the Tractors, they're not in your yard yet?? A nice set of spoked wheels are $400. pair. Buy two wheels, get two Tractors. Now there's a good deal for ya! I'm wit the Jaybird. I'd say $600. bucks would be a good deal for both... mailto:Steve@B&B" rel="nofollow - Steve@B&B

My wife knows that when I haul parts into the yard it'll take up shop space and e few thousand dollars it'll drive out only to take up tractor shed space. I can't seam to sell any. I did give away a C last year. Told my nieces husband if he brought a trailer he could have it. They showed up on a week end I put the grader blade and drove the tractor on to the trailer. I did have him drive it around the yard for a while to get familiar with it. I'd had that tractor since 1986. I mowed with it till a few years ago when I put the mower on the CA it didn't have a job anymore. I still need to get rid of one more. My 190 has to sit outside. It'll have to find a new home one of those days.

Lessee... man has two tractors, but one girlfriend. Then he has three, four, and five tractors, but still only one girlfriend.
Perhaps that one girfriend is a good runner, a hard worker, easy to clean up, reliable, and does it all in one compact, efficient, and comfortable package... but tractors ain't always that way...
Or mebbie the answer is...
If you could afford more girlfriends, you'd have one of each year and model...
(Hint... the restoration bodywork is really expensive... and the paint don't last very long...)

As always you have received great advice from the group about the prices and a few other things....lol. I'm with the others on the 600 range being fair. Don't hurt to ask. Are all the snap coupler parts still on the 45 or a 3pt hitch adapter etc?

Usable parts are the WD-45 engine, no carb. Rear rims are in great shape. The wife front is 85% there. I would say the transmission is so so. On the WC I was mistaken it is an unstyled ,hand brakes, looks as if it was "updated with a styled gas tank and gauges but it does have an electric starter. I did not know WC to have come with hand brakes ,electric start and "bullet" gas tank. But imagine if you will they sat for years and then were dragged for what would seem to have been miles. ROUGH

The WC engine is "free" has a magneto + spare mag and 2 old carbs in a coffee can. No radiators, no tin other than the "bullet tank.

My wife has gotten to the point that if I bring up the topic of some tractor or piece of equipment she cuts me off and says "I don't even want to know". I take that literal and just don't tell her.

I just tell the wife "I've had that forever. It used to sit out behind the barn and I moved somethings around so I could get it in the barn to work on." I get 'the look' and all is OK.
If it was closer to me,,,they'd be 'out behind the barn'.
