My father's health had declined in recent years, but he had a wonderful life of 80 years. This morning, he went home to be with Jesus Christ, his Savior and Lord.

The moment I took the photo above some years ago, I knew if I outlived him, I'd use it in some manner to announce his passing.

He enjoyed checking this forum daily even though as far as I know, he never met any of you face to face. I think he may have spoken to one or two on the phone.

Thank you for being such a blessing to him over these recent years!

He would love the fact that I posted this in the "varmints" section, as that was his favorite section to read.

Condolences to you and the entire family. He will surely be missed. That is a wonderful photo and a tribute to him as he looks down from heaven. May God hold all of you in His loving arms as you go through this season of mourning. God Bless.

So So sorry to read this, take it as comfort that you know where he is, you will be together again!
We know that this day shall come, but it doesn’t lessen the pain of their passing any. Cherish the memories of times you spent together and let them help you through the days ahead. Prayers for you and the entire family in the days and weeks ahead as you adjust to his absence. I do believe he would be quite proud of your picture of him!

DB Murray, So sorry to hear of WF's passing. It certainly will be another one missed.
This past several months seems to have been a particularly hard winter on many... I looked in our local paper's obituary column and there were 3 passed in the last couple weeks that I knew, and a host of others too.
We too will miss WF's postings.
Remember all the good times and forget any of the bad times and know that some day you will meet him again on the other side. Peace comfort and blessing be with you in the days ahead.

What a tribute with a great picture you posted. May the Lord give you and yours peace,as from your comments you know he is in a better place.

Your hitting real close to home as my mother in law past on the 8th at age 90. You know they are in a better place, but the loss can still be great at times. Pictures can really help us remember the good times.

You are absolutely right. I'm sorry for your loss also. It's never easy even when they've lived such a long and full life.

What a beautiful picture an memory.  I'm sure that today he has as big of a smile on his face as he passes through the pearly gates as he had that day passing through the farm gates.  A wonderful memory you will have.
My sympathies to you and your family.

I meant to post this obituary link earlier. We mentioned his love of A/C tractors and discussing them.

Sorry I didn't see this, as I hadn't been on here for a few days.

Prayers go out to you and yours.  One heart stops and another starts.  That is God's plan.  I'm SO glad you have the memories to carry you on your journey into the future.  Every time you touch something you'll think of him and share that memory again..

If it were me, I'd put a frame around that picture and put it in my den and also a spot of honor in my barn, where all the Allis-Chalmers are...

Daddy was actually stationed at Fort Gordon. He was just at Fort Stewart during Kennedy's visit to stand guard with his group of Military Police.
