After 26 years alone, my Mom is finally sleeping in my Daddy’s arms again.
She broke free of the pains, burdens and demons that have haunted her for
the last two years and  took her place as heavens newest angel this morning. Really gonna
miss our times and talks together! She was a true Southern Lady, born dirt poor
in the backwoods of North Georgia, 7 people in a tiny two room shack, no power or running water until she was leaving home for college, never let it handicap her, I told her she reminded me of those old country songs. My heart aches tonight.

My two hands together for you, Joe, and for your Mom, Dad, and children.  26 years is a long time to go on after losing a partner, but she clearly stuck around for you.  Chin up, eyes forward, we're here with you.  Hug

Joe, sorry to hear of your loss, you were a loving son and good caregiver. The next few days will be tough but picture her celebrating in Heaven with no more pain, no more burdens, and reuniting with the ones that have gone on before her. Praying that God will give you peace that passes all understanding as well as strength and comfort during your time of grief. If there is anything I can do please call me, I'm not that far down the road.

I am ready for bed, but before I go, I will walk to window and pray to the heaven's for you. People like that would be fun to get to know, just to hear their stories. Even though we didn't know her, everyone here will miss her.

Sorry to hear this Joe. I know it's a sad time but what helped me when pawpaw passed was to think about him, his son, his brothers, and Pa and what they're doing right now. I figure the first thing he did was went to Jesus to say thank you. Then he found Ma (his mama) and Jackie (his son) and hugged them as tight as ever. I don't know for sure what he did next but it was probably something similar to trying to move Stone Mountain with a 40 hp Kubota. Only difference is I bet it moved this time. What do you think was/is the first thing your mama did/will do?

Prayers from here for you, Joe at this difficult time.  It's a great comfort knowing where she is now with the Lord.  My parents both went to be with their Lord 29 days apart in 2004 after 65 years together on this 'ol earth.  They can now all sing together!  We will see them again!

Joe M., I too am sorry to hear of your loss. A loss to you at this time and a hole in the heart and life. But keep the faith that your mom is now resting in the Promised land, in the presence of Jesus. ...and have rejoined with those who have gone before her.
When my father passed away, Mom did not shed a tear, I finally asked her how she could be so strong and she said that she has faith that she will see her husband again in Heaven. so there will be a feeling of loss for awhile but have faith and rest assured that we will meet again on the other side.
It has been 19 years of my fathers passing and 9 since mom has left us... and still miss them...
Joe, may you rest assured in knowing that you will be with your family and friends again when your days are through here on this terrafirma. God Bless and comfort you all there in these trying times.
