| What can you tell me about an Allis Chalmers HD16? There's one for sale about an hour and a half from me. Has the infamous "ran when parked" disclaimer. It's been parked for 5 years. He's asking $7500. What should I look for? Is the price reasonable? Thanks. |

| Scrap value will be 75% of total tonnage as Clean Scrap price averages what the machine weighs in pieces no bigger than 2'x3'x 100lbs. Machine weighs 40,000lbs is 20 tons and currently clean price here $120/ton $1800-2400 or there about. As noted Running and working $7500 IF the rails are not shot, IF all functions work is a good price. Scrappers for parts will give slightly more but not much. |

yes Dmiller is correct.
