The rain brought up the mushrooms. Picked a mess today and man they  were good. Keep your eyes peeled for those round puff balls. Yum Yum Yummmie.

No kidding. I’ve seen more and bigger mushrooms the past few weeks than I’ve ever seen.

Mom used to pick'em when I was a kid but I don't trust myself to know the good ones.

Around here there's not another that looks like them, so you won't mistake them for a bad one. They come in all sizes from the size of a golf ball to 3-4 pounds. Color is from white to light tan. They're solid so you get a lot for your picking. If when you slice into them and there is some brown in them just cut it out and eat what's not brown. Fix them like you would normally fix any mushroom. For these we use pancake mix. Put some shortening in the skillet and fry them, but not too hard. They've never made me sick, and I've eaten them until I could hardly get up from the table. I guess if you are allergic to mushrooms they could cause a problem, but you would already be aware of that. Fix just a little bit and see what you think.

The small puff balls, the ones that puff when ya squeeze em. And when conditions are right they get big, and yes they're good eats.

One thing for sure, they're easy to spot out in the open pasture, and you don't have to walk over xxxx's half acre to get a mess.

I've seen more mushrooms growing this year than ever before.  I just wish I knew a LOT more about them.  There's too many poisonous ones out there.
