| Around here there's not another that looks like them, so you won't mistake them for a bad one. They come in all sizes from the size of a golf ball to 3-4 pounds. Color is from white to light tan. They're solid so you get a lot for your picking. If when you slice into them and there is some brown in them just cut it out and eat what's not brown. Fix them like you would normally fix any mushroom. For these we use pancake mix. Put some shortening in the skillet and fry them, but not too hard. They've never made me sick, and I've eaten them until I could hardly get up from the table. I guess if you are allergic to mushrooms they could cause a problem, but you would already be aware of that. Fix just a little bit and see what you think. |
