Wondering if anybody knows what specs are for the piston stand out on the 433t engine in the 6080 is.

sleeve or piston? Can't imagine piston protruding but not worked on one.Think that head is flat.

Piston, working on one that the block was surfaced and just wanted to check things out while the head was off to make sure things were in speck.

Unless you took off more than .005" there isn't anything to worry about.

That's the problem doc, I have no idea what was taken off, I bought the tractor this way and previous owner was half way through a self overhaul and gave up, so just wondering what the correct specs are.

I've looked thru all my official AC service books and I don't see a thing. Since 1975 I have NEVER had to surface any Harvey engine block and never had any problems. Even if they took .005" off the deck, the counterbores would have to be lowered the same amount. I think you'd better drop in a sleeve without Orings on it and see what that dimension is. I can't imagine they removed very much. A good Machine shop would stamp or tag the block for how much they removed...............
