I bought an Allis Chalmers WC last weekend. Serial number WC128983. What year is it? 1944?
Thanks!
George

Yes, 1944 is correct.
Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your purchase. A WC is a great tractor that liberated thousands of farms from the burden of horses.
Is this your first tractor by chance? Do you have any photos?

First Welcome to the Forum.  Do no hesitate to ask any questions or opinion.  You will find lots of good helpful information here
You may want to check the rear end of your WC.  This could be a wartime unit.  Therefore, it may have such wartime items as a steel rear end, cast valve cover, cast oil pan, and probably was an original steel wheel unit.  Sometimes because of priorities the electrics were removed but could have been added on later.
In any event you have a very basic, dependable, unit.  My father started as a dealer with Allis Chalmers in the 30's.  His first sale was a flat top WC - a non styled unit.
Thanks for what you are doing to keep history alive.
Good Luck!

Nice WC. Looks to be pretty straight. I have a 37 Unstyled. We've really enjoyed it. I'm sure you will also.
