May be a stupid question, but. Is the snap coupler blade for a B the same size as it would be for CA? Just curious if it came in different sizes for different tractor HP.

Standard size of the snap coupler blade is 6 ft with extensions to make it 9 ft. according to my owners manual for the blade.

This is a picture of a blade that came with a CA. The distance between the snap coupler hooks is 27 inches the same as the distance between the CA lift arms. WD's and other tractors are about 31 inches between the tractor lift arms and I think the blades for those tractors would also be set at 31 inches.

Larry, would that fit a B SC?

I don't have that blade any longer, but I think so. As far as I know B CA D10 D12 implements would be the same.

I've never seen a B with a snap coupler. This a home made rig, or an AC thing I've never heard of? AaronSEIA

No, the snap coupler set up was factory. In our area snap coupler cultivator set ups are common and a lot a B's were retrofitted so the newer style two part cultivator could be used. The full snap coupler hitch set up was less common, but in addition to the snap coupler lift arms a snap coupler bell was added. To accommodate this the drawbar was reversed, the bell mounted to it and drawbar bar supports added. A single larger ram, the same used on the CA, was also added.

I'd say you're right I've seen several B's with the snap coupler set up and they used the same equipment as the CA (which was being built at the same time) and the D10,D12.

As a side note there used to be an old AC dealer at Ekwood VA Chris Holmes that built AC combination tractors to put Woods Mowers on.They mostly were a combination of B,C,CA,D10 and D12 don't think any were ever exactly the same, some had a very nice 3pt on them.I see them show up sometimes at sales, they'll get people to scratching their heads as they were nicely done and used almost all factory AC parts very nice professional job.

Some snap coupler blades have two holes in the cross strap to go from CA to WD.

You can drill the extra holes to narrow a WD45 blade.
