Interesting day yesterday in Quarryville PA. Went to a salvage yards hoping to find some parts. Had a good few hours but was sad to see what rough lives these once fine machines had. A few notables were the D21’s, 440, and a super nice belly sickle mower on a WD. It was a pretty organized yard, with a lot of used parts stacked neatly inside buildings.              ------------- 1968 B-208, 1976 720 (2 of them)Danco brush hog, single bottom plow,52" snow thrower, belly mower,rear tine tiller, rear blade, front blade, 57"sickle bar,1983 917 hydro, 1968 7hp sno-bee, 1968 190XTD |

There were 2-210’s that were in decent shape. The WCwith picker was interesting since I had never seen one. The tractors that are pictured are obviously the better ones. Probably 6 190 XTseries I, 2 190XT series II, and 2 series III. Quite a few 7000 series, cabs, and 2 6080 FWA. just curious (2700 miles away) were there any older smaller pieces - in the B-CA range? ------------- 3 Ford 8N's I loan to neighbors, but the '52CA, '41B and little B1 I do not. |

Only a few B’s but they may have already parted them out and on shelves. Mainly larger tractors. A few D17’s, D-15’s. 1 D-19. Several WD’s. I was able to get the parts I was looking for and at good prices. Could not believe it but was able to get the rear cover that goes over the transmission oil level check/fill for my brothers XT! They were usually thrown under a work bench after having to take bolts out to remove them in order to check the oil. There is a propane D- Series, then a little further down the funky d-14 looking thing is a ED-40, a low production french tractor, imported into canada for the year 1963, only. this is the one with the weird clutch pedal...

no, though that's 'interesting', the one I meant has a 'plate' of cast maybe 1 foot square on the lever, where your ankle/lower shin will be. mighty strange to say the least and I've never ever seen it before..it does look 'original' ------------- 3 D-14s,A-C forklift, B-112 Kubota BX23S lil' TOOT( The Other Orange Tractor) Never burn your bridges, unless you can walk on water |

The clutch pedal tractor also has a different looking seat then I have ever seen. The 7080 open station looks way to good to be spending its days axle deep in the weeds. Great pictures of a fun day. I love walking through yards of old tractors.

Jay, it looks to me that that 1x1 'plate' is something that is for safety on your ankle. It looks to be one piece, but it looks to me that the clutch pivot is separate from that piece. Ok... I blew up the D1x? picture to 450% and the 'shield' is NOT attached to the clutch pedal. If it's a heat shield ,I do NOT want to be on a tractor whose tranny generates that much heat !... It does look like a GREAT place for bees and wasps to call home though...yeesh.. sure hope someone whose seen it chimes in as I can't see any useful purpose for it. | Heat shield, have a number of 15's and they sometimes go missing over the years. Ray's in KS supplied the one I needed for a Series 1 I picked up that had it missing. Yes, gets plenty hot on your ankle/inner calf when running one in summer without one. |

Just getting home from work. That is a heat shield, dad’s series II D-15 has it. I have never noticed excess heat from it in the 49 years he has had it. The running tractors tractors are for sale. The D-21 in the shop is a customer tractor and they just replaced the clutch. They not only sell used parts but they repair tractors also. A nice 1206 IH was on the lot that they repaired. I thought their prices were very good. That transmission cover for my brothers XT was only $10. Other parts I bought were very reasonable. They do not have a website which was disappointing when I tried to get more info on them before my 3 hr trip. The 440 has always been a favorite of mine and was in pretty good shape. Do not know if its for sale or was a customer tractor. Just always thought they were tough looking. ED 40 was nice but it doesn’t interest me personally. Yep, its a heat shield, likely one somebody stole off'n another D series tractor. Its just sheet metal and brackets, bolts to tranny and step, IIRR. My D-15II has it, comes in handy when working in the heat, like bush hogging, or pickin corn, all day...

Gary I am unsure of its origin, or how long he has been there. The buildings and lot look fairly new. This is the only AC salvage yard that I have found close enough for a day trip. Other than your private lot of course. Greens in NC still has some AC stuff but that’s 5 hours away. If I had a WD that sickle mower would be a great addition. It’s in very good condition.
