| what is it that seems so negative about these cabs, rarely hear about them or see pictures of them. Looked ideal to me if I had to feed in rain or cold, would keep you dry and with the addition of heater core out of a car would keep you warm also |

| I've seen a few cabs "adapted" to fit a 45, kinda crude, but kept the operator dry! warm? dunno about that. |

Take a heater core out of some of the OLD (40s and early 50s) cars and trucks and install in the cab and probably wouldn't be too bad... ------------- "Allis-Express" 19?? WC / 1941 C / 1952 CA / 1956 WD45 / 1957 WD45 / 1958 D-17 |

| I have two wd45s with cabs. one is a aftermarket universal cab made in the 50s the other is a home made cab. Ill try to post pictures when I get to my home computer. I don't have heaters installed don't need on . there is enough warm air blowing back from the radiator to keep it warm enough that I only wear a light jacket. The WD 45s were designed to be mounted from the back so it needs a back door. it has no platform so it wont have a flat floor. its not the most conveint operation but I do stay relatively warm and my son had a place to sit when he joined me for snow removal. during the summer I remove the back door and windows otherwise it gets kind of hot . |

| I had a WD45 that I mounted a Hinson cab on that came off a 4020 JD, went on many tractor rides and some caravans. Had it in the Teddy Rosevelt national park, Madison SD, Albert City, Hutinson both at the Karg farm and in town, and also Montivideo MN. Worked for me and I told fellow riders I was going to keep at it till we hit at least one day of heavy rain but never did. It has also been on RFD tv. |

I have a small 12 volt heater from an old White truck. It's about 9" square and about 12" tall to the top of the blower motor. The blower has two defroster connections and there are doors to adjust the airflow. I'll sell it and could get some pictures of it if anyone is interested. ------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits.
