How many series no till planters did A-C build and can you still get parts for them? My buddy is looking for a 2 row unit for food plots and is interested in one of these planters that's a 3pt version, he's a JD man and I'm trying to get a little orange paint on his farm, if it's possible we'd like to see some pics, thanks again.

If he's a Deere man why steer him away from the best planter? Deere has built the best planters for the last 40 plus years.

I wanted to say that but was afraid to on an Allis forum.LOL I have planted lots of corn with Allis planters but changed to Deere due to better seed placement and the better closing wheel set up. I had several 600 notill planters and Dad's last one was a 333. Tom

AC never built a no til planter ----- they offered three pages of components and the DEALERS BUILT THEM :-) One could have an AC notil in any of what we figured were over 350 configurations. The 3 point hitch units were 300 series. However most of us ordered the 600 or 333 frames w/o transport axles and added the 300 hitch. There were tool bar versions we sold as well that were equipped with set back plates to allow a diamond bar for no til coulters to be attached. The AC 600 was the only true no til planter in the 60's other than buffalo and they could not offer 19 or 15" rows. One could add thousands of pounds of weight to a AC planter that would buckle the frames of competition. As the others caught up AC fell prey to hard times and the best planter unit ever invented - the quadra disc - never got perfected even though Landoll tried. Unfortunately the high scrap prices of the past sent most to China..
