Well I finally bought a CA and I want to buy a mower for it. Are the mounts and pulleys the same as on a C? If so, I know where I can get a C with a L59 mower on it fairly cheap. How is the hydraulic lift hooked up? Does it go to the rear remote outlet on the CA? What do I need to look for in buying a Woods L59 or L306 mower? Are parts readily available? Thanks, Tim

IIRR, the OEM hyd cyl is used on these, either moved, or a chain lift...

I just went through this.  I have a C that HAD the L306 on it.  I changed it over to the CA that I just bought.
It will mount right up and at first I used the drawbar off the C on it.  I wasn't happy with that and farted around and mounted the CA drawbar back up.  I had to push the mower deck farther forward to get the drawbar to work on the CA.
SO, I have the L306 on and a little forward, the regular drawbar on the CA.
Now on to the lift,,,,,,,,,, I got the lift kit from Paul Barnsley ( PaulB ) on here.  THANK you Paul!  You can't use the lift from the C, it won't work.  You'll have to see if you can get a lift for the CA from somewhere.  I haven't gotten the lift kit on yet, as it is still at home and I'm up at the farm.  Going to get it today to put on.
I have gotten several pics from other members on here that helped me set it up.  They'll likely come on and help you out too.  If you want, send me your email and I can send them to you also.
HTH, Ted

I had an L59 that was originally on a C and used it on my CA for years. It had the 3 piece "push bar" that would fit a B, C or a CA.
I added a 2 inch wide strip to the top of final drive mounts so I could lower the bar and use my pin hitch drawbar with the mower on.
I also had the hand lift and would never think about using hydraulic lift, just because it worked fine, better if you have the proper helper spring, and worked independent of the PTO.
Any parts are or should be available from your local dealer, if they want to take the time to help you out. Wink

Im with Charlie on the lift. Manual is fine.. set where you want and cut for an hour. Don't need hydraulic to be constantly changing level.

I had not thought of that, thanks! Will the CA-8 loader mounts interfere with the mower at all?

I forgot to mention, you take the right side Hydraulic cylinder off and turn it around and move it forward onto the next pin you see on the torque tube.  That is used to lift the deck.

I don't have a loader on mine, so I can't tell you about it, but I doubt that it will interfere with the mower deck.  You'll just have to try it.  WHY do you want to use the CA for a loader and for the mower?  I sure hope you have power steering on that little CA!!  That's a LOT of weight to put on and all that weight makes it really HARD to steer...

No, the loader mounts will not interfere with the Woods L-306 mower deck.  See picture.
Even with the mower deck raised, the loader mounts do not hit it.
