Pull it home!
That tandem wheel attachment is worth something. I have a set one one of my machines, and that tongue just floats off the ground. Great for hitching or manually moving the machine.

i'm with Creston on this one, that's looks to be in great condition. and if it's a free-bee, you can afford to replace a couple tires. and no it can't be towed 65 MPH! I've towed lots of slow moving equipment further than that before! and drove tractors 150-200 miles before. and drove a truck with an attached 20x40 building over 20 miles. (truck inside the building).

55 miles isn't that far. I just towed a 15ft folding bushhog 146 miles. Avoid interstates, and have an escort. At 25mph you'll have it home in three hours.

Pulled my allcrop 72 home 150 miles. Had to bring a couple spares and ended up getting a hotel room halfway!

I had to pull a case ih chisel plow 500 miles. It was 16 feet wide and 32 feet long in Weighed 16,000 lbs.
I wouldn't think twice about it, it would be home already. Two spare tires a jack a 3/4 socket with breaker bar and a Grease gun. Ease as pie. Take your wife or kids along for more fun.
I better stop before I talk myself into getting it.

Pull it at night while the traffic is light. Wink

I also like to pull them on a 4 lane. You can drive on the shoulder and you only take up one lane and everyone can safely pass. The farthest I have pulled one was from Osceola IA to Ridott IL which was over 300 miles.

Why can't I find a deal like that?! I have looked at 3 Allcrop 60s this week. All 3 not for sale.

The tandem wheels don't "have" to be good. They are just there for balance. As long as the 2 stock wheels are ok, you will be fine. Use the 2 tandem wheels as spares. I've done that in a pinch before

I have pretty good luck here. I have 4 parts machines around that farmers just said I could have. They might not all be parts machines for very long though...a couple might be up and running before you know it lol

Very true Creston. I'll be heading down to OK sometime next month to get a tandem Assy. And a few screens.

Yeah, 50 miles for an All-Crop shouldn't be that bad. I pulled our Minneapolis Moline disk home about 60 miles, and I'm sure that towed worse than an All Crop
