Was out walking the pups this morning, saw a big top out of one of my neighbors trees laying in the front yard from last nights storms, I know he's on the road more than home lately so I rode down with the chipper and turned it to mulch in a couple of minutes.
No one was home, but someone ratted me out, found these by the front door this evening!
Nice basket of just dug red potatoes and a basket of fresh corn!

Now that's how it should be.....neighbors helping neighbors. Your blessed to have good ones. If only the rest of the world would follow suit.

That's the way it is supposed be . sounds like you got some good neighbors . A forum member on here who used to live next to my grandfather "back in the day" told me one day they knew no one was home at my grandfathers , The clothes were out on the line drying and a pop up storm was coming fast . They ran over and took the clothes off the line and set them inside the porch . Later that night a fresh baked pie showed up on their porch .

To have good neighbors you have to be one and you certainly would be one of the best for just about anybody. As Tracy said "good raising shows!"

got one pretty dumb with a nasty yard, another the reason I had to put up a privacy fence. The old lady across the street is ok, she keeps an eye on things.

Hang on to those as long as you can Joe. They're getting fewer and farther between here

I also have good neighbors, we all help each other out when needed. Being surrounded by other farmers helps. Each of them know what hard work is and we always look out for each other's property.

I know what it is to have good neighbors. In the old days had some that you knew where never your best friend like they wanted you to think. Then we had a few citybots start, and then a lot more weekend people that took over the brush at the end of the road.

Now with this county being premium wine growing ground, and cheap compared to the more famous wine country up north we have the billionaires moving in. That is a bunch  of water stealing greedy ba%& that will never even set foot in the area. No regard for anyone but themselves.

Not much water in a lot of places, but some areas real good water the out of area folks want to control to be able to sell to the state for export to LA and south. The state has built a pipeline to bring us water that was bought in the 60's when the state actually built some dames and canals. But a 48 inch pipe could carry a lot of water away from here as well.

When the Chevy dealers super emotion driven daughter and wimp of husband with there 5 non disciplined children moved in at the closest place I was not happy. But kept telling myself things could be worse and they are. Billionaire moved in and punched wells everywhere and drained a spring that had not gone dry in 200 years of recorded history. I have a new well that produces more water than the spring but is very hard, ware as the spring was soft very good tasting water. So I hope it dose not get worse yet with even worse neighbors.  Also makes me appreciate the others more.

Some good, some bad.  It's that "ME" generation that is taking over up by me.  They want to come over onto my land to hunt, cut wood, pick flowers and vegetables, but you don't DARE walk up their driveway cause you got "their" mail........Pfffft
