I ran across this last night, what type of rear wheels does this have?

Those are wheel wieghts bolted on PAW wheels. They are non allis wieghts and i think they look like JD wieghts.

There is a WD or WD45 going to be sold at the auction at Gladhill Tractor in Maryland
this evening at 5:30 that has 38" wheels on the rear.

Looks to be a rather late WD.  The cyl head has the openings found of a WD-45 - unless they mounted a WD-45 engine in the WD.  If so you have a more powerful tractor.
Look for a bolted on plate on the other side of the engine that could confirm.
The unit does have the straight gear shift lever which means it is not a constant mesh transmission.

hard to see on phone but looks like short head,tall valve cover to me...like a WD
