| After 2 weeks of hard work our Frankenstein is alive we had a good lightning storm last night haha. 433ti in a D19 Chassis, with 190XT flywheel and clutch, 190 rear tires. We had to cut and add part of two d17 rails to raise the front end and an idler pully from am old 350. The adapter plate was as easy as drilling 3 holes. I had to grind about an eight inch out of a small section in the torque tube/clutch housing to allow clearance for the springs on the pressure plate. We installed all new gauges swapped the Murphy switch with a high pressure ac oil gauge new ac temp gauge working traction booster gauge. We had to order a new tac I ordered from summit racing, Stuart warner that fit in the factory hole and has an hour gauge no mph but that would never be right anyway. The power stearing wasnt to bad just had to make a new bracket add an idler pully and run a new high pressure line. We're going to add a high volume live hydraulic pump and a platform with steps and a battery box on the foot clutch side of the tractor we had to use the existing battery box for a diesel d19 air filter. We need to get some tin work done to put the hoods on don't know if we should let the turbo stick out or build a hood scoop for it. All and all I'm really happy with this build. It's different to fire up a d19 and hear that turbo whistling. |

| Dad owned a D-19 for 4 years thinking it would be a good upgrade from a D-17;WRONG. Almost turned us Green. Thank goodness he fell into a XT 190 |

What didn't you like about the D19? I have a D19 we bought back in the late 60's has been a very good and handy tractor.I really like the D series Power Director over the one on the 190's and the 180 I have, to me that was a step backwards AC made. |

| The fuel use was in line with other manufacturers gasoline powered models at that time for the 70 HP size. Your 190 XT must have been a DIESEL because an XT gas used even more than a D-19. |

| My phone takes pictures that are to big for this forum I will give a link to a you tube video of a walk around in a couple hours here. But the gas d19 was deff an upgrade on the d17 but the 17 is better for smaller jobs we have a series 2 diesel 17 a series 3 gas 17 a series 4 gas 17 a gas d19 and a 190XT series 3 also have a c 2 cas wd wd45 w diesel rear end and a d14 all depends on what your doing what tractor you need I couldn't imagine trying to do it all with a d19 Like going to rake hay with a gas d19 you would be real upset by the end of the season with your gas bill that's fir sure. |
