I bought this nice 7000 off Dale Mayer in Ohio. It went from Dale's to Watertown NY. Then a local guy went and got it, and dropped it off. I'm going through it now, changing all the oil etc. This is my new mowing tractor. No more hitching and unhitching from another tractor. My wife Joyce, says my cheese has completely slipped off my cracker now, and hit the floor. I don't look at it that way. lol Tim

Looks like it has been looked after. Still has shiny paint on the side sheet - you don't see many 7000s like that any more. Most get left outside year round.

That's a great looking machine and a great saying from your wife! I love cheese and crackers and since I'm not married it's hard to tell if the cheese has slipped.

That's a nice clean 7000. I hear that cheese slid off your cracker stuff all the time. Guess they think I have completely lost my mind. But when it all works out,,, at least they do say "hey,,you know that worked out just right".

Via Waldorf's? I stop whenever I have time as I drive by there when I go back east as I also run up to Kingston/Ottawa where my son and daughter live. Dealer still remembers my uncle who had the A-C ag line in Rome, NY and the Waldorf folks are always a nice visit. Stopped by a few years back and since I had my gooseneck on the trip up, asked if they had any A-C weights by chance. Owner told me they were cleaned out of all weights period, including new stock that came with the new tractors (blue and Versatile at the time). Relayed they found an employee that was coming in at night to help himself to weights as scrap was quite high at the time. . . . .

I had a 7000 when I had cows.
I really liked the 3 speed "Powershift". While I wouldn't call it a real powershift, the variety of speeds is real nice for fieldwork.
I think you will really like it as a mower tractor, if it has a working AC. Mine didn't and it was like sitting in a greenhouse!

Nice clean 7000. I bought a new 7000 Jan 1976 and ran it to Oct 1982. Only thing that was replaced was the altenator. Batteries were still original. The 3 speed power shift was great for pulling wagon loads of corn. Good luck

...if she was doin all the switchin she might agree that a dedicated tractor was a good idea...Theres' something to be said for a tractor for every tool and a combine for corn and one for beans....
