He never responded to my questions but didn't Fiat buy Allis in '85? Weren't HD7 made in the '40s, not 1972?

I think the model is 7G not HD7G.  They were a loader only crawler and the later ones had the 426 engine same as the D-21 etc.

Joint venture in 74 as Fiat wanted a machine in HD10 size for Europe market, ended up they got the full company of construction a little later.
 Industrial line ended up with TDS and then Ingersol along with the fork lifts.

7gs were built into the mid 70s and fiat took a part interest in early 70
