A great soldier, leader and American hero. We had several surplus Hueys at our support facility that were loaned to the production company for the shooting of that movie. I believe that most, if not all of it, was filmed at Ft. Benning.

My neighbor served under Moore and was in the Battle of la Drang, 7th Calvary and was part of the "Lost Platoon". This neighbor I've known pretty much all my life, worked baling hay summers and milked cows for him a couple times and who's son I graduated with. He literally lives just down the road a half mile from me. He didn't really like the one author of the book but was interviewed for the book. His nick name is mentioned in the movie once (Bung). I don't know his thoughts on Moore. My neighbor is a very loyal American and good Trump man.
