yeah i just got mine back from bobs a couple weeks ago,,,i think they did a great job,,looked new when i took it out of the box

price was a little high for what he had to do,,,but i have the original and it looks good ,,works good,,

while it was gone i pulled the cable and cleaned and lubed it,,,running smooth and true,,

bob also turned it around in a week,,,it was gone for 8 days from when i mailed it to when i opened the box,,,that was nice

Ocharry, what did you use to lubricate your cable?  Thanks Dale

hi dale,,

i asked bob's about that and they recommend wheel bearing grease,,,,it gets cold here and that seemed a little heavy TO ME,,,,,so i cleaned it off with mineral spirits and then i used a lubraplate white grease

Bob's said if you use to light of lubricant it will migrate into the tach and mess up the works,,,,,,so i kinda split the difference (i think) with the lubraplate,,,still grease but not as heavy as wheel bearing grease,,, seems to be working fine,,,bounce in the needle went away too

that is what i did,,,,YMMV
