Hello,
Interested/looking for a pull type box blade (10').  It will be used to work on some terraces and road/barn lot maintenance.  Any brand recommendations or anything else?

Thanks:
Justin

The one I borrow is great for smoothing rock but won't cut dirt to save yer butt. I have seen some advertised that claim the angle of their edge makes them dig in dirt.I would get educated if you're serious because one that doesn't do what you want, well,it's not nice.

After using back blades on tractors , then going to grading plainer on skid loaders I think I can do more now with one of them .
Only place they do not work good is for crowning a drive , well and recovering material thrown off a drive by snow plow .

If had the coin to afford it would step up to skid loader as Coke points out. Know a few that bought very heavy, large, cumbersome drag blades to do as you are looking. What they got and now cannot be rid of is large awkward, cumbersome rigs that don't work very well. My old 9' standard three point blade does better than most of the larger self supported draw bar rigs as they do not have the ballast to drive into the dirt if hard panned.

Goes back to buying the right tool for the right job and using it for that job. I have a 9' Deere 80 series blade, have a landscapers rake and a full size track loader to do my dirt work and a basic Allis 500 loader on my farm tractor. One will do better what the other three don't do well for the right conditions.

I made a 3 point hitch blade that carries (2) 55 gallon drums of water (about 900#). The blade angle is adjustable using the top link. The amount of water ballast is easily adjusted for the job. It can cut hard pan as good as any
