What would be the chances of finding a pair of these items?
I may have a chance to buy a complete tractor with the fenders missing.

Dave !! I had a nice set like you want on a cat 15 orchard, it has been a few years ago they were made in California.

| Dave, when I built the model of the M that Lonnie posted (thanks Lonnie!!) I took measurements off a real machine. To make the radius I used 1/4 inch soft copper tubing and bent it into the shape of the fender. Then I quartered it the long way which gave me the two top sections (left and right) for the radius. Then I soldered flat brass sheet for the top and side of the fenders. The toughest part was making the opposite side to match!! Maybe a similar approach would work for making a real set if you could find a thin wall 4 inch conduit or pipe that could be bent to the correct shape. Then cut it and shape and weld sheet metal to the top and sides. Sounds like a real task but I bet it could be done. HTH Armand |
