Yes they did. Most had a domed piston increasing compression, and I think some were also an overbore too

The old mailto:M@W - M@W papers I have shows that a wc gained 8 more horses the papers also show the compression ratios and they all were verry close to stock ratios. The power came from the 1/8 overbore. jmho
