My pto does not operate when put under a load. I am being told that it is the clutch piston and it can not be found. Any ideas? Also looking for the clutch assembly housing and the sealing rings.

It is in the shop and the clutch was replaced and the pto clutch plates were also replaced. the mechanic says that is the only thing that wasn't replaced except for the pto clutch housing assembly and sealing rings.

The foot clutch was replaced??   What is the hydraulic pressure going to the PTO clutch ?? The reality is, those PTO clutches don't usually give much trouble. After 40 years, I can still count on one hand how many of those clutches I ever worked on.

The foot clutch was replaced along with the flex plate and the clutch pack for the pto. The weird thing we found was that all the clutch disks looked ok. Without an micrometer I could not tell the difference between the old and new disks. The biggest problem we found was the flex plate was worn more on one area rather than the whole thing. Also the shaft that comes into the side from the foot pedal was wallowed out and out of adjustment. The pto was slow before we did this work. It would run slow but it would run and now nothing. Any advice would be very helpful.

Sounds like a new mechanic should be in order.       MACK
