OK, so it steers a tad better(added grease) but the hydraulic pump unit is 195*F ! It does work but I'm pretty sure 195 is waaay too hot.
Any idears ?

For the hydrolift?  Any chance it is on pressure?  Not sure how the system is set up, but being on pressure trying to pump is a fast way to heat up the oil.

Yeah, the lift hydraulic pump/reservoir unit. It's new to me...seems it lifts when the lever is pulled towards me.. I may have been running around the yard(trying to get he steering looser) with it there,oops....
It does make perfect sense what you said !

I keep searching for a 'one point to 3 point adapter' as all I have is a NEW 48" deck and no implements....though I have a lot of Cat 0 Sears/Brinly stuff I want to use....

Not sure your going to find an adapter. Fabbing one shouldn't be too hard. Maybe even be able to use some other brand parts you can find on eBay. Just bought my first 112 with a hydrolift. Fastenal should call me in a week or so with it ready to pick up. First thing to find is a 48" deck. Have to hang my 42" under it for now.

Mine came with a 48" deck, BRAND NEW shell ! maybe used 3-4 times( < 1 season ) as the simplicity red(?) powder coat is just coming off underneath. Needs belts though....
B&S engine says 1969 ( 'code' numbers). Throttle lock till works !
I've yet to see ANY one point to 3point conversions. Lots of 'use sleeve hitch stuff on 3pt' though...wrong way.....

The PTO belt on the tractor is Simp 164146 which is 1/2x34".  The cross drive belt from the PTO to the deck is Simp 108458 which is 1/2x45" and the arbor belt is Simp 165048 which is 1/2x85".  The better the belt the longer they last.  I've blown up a few of the cross drive belts. The cheap ones don't like the half twist.  Have had decent luck with Gate, but if you can find the genuine Simplicity belts, they last the longest.
