About or a tad over 1 1/2"  If your thinking about tapping it to make a positive threaded seal it takes a 1 1/4" taper pipe tap.

Dick,
If I get teh 1.25" tapered pipe tap, what size pipe do I thread into it?  Also, what type of muffler do you put on the pipe stub?  Thanks.
Steve

Using a 1 1/4" taper pipe tap you would use a 1 1/4" pipe nipple. I buy the Ford muffler that will slide over the pipe nipple when I want a muffler.  My B puller I just have a three foot 1 1/4" pipe with a rain cap on top.  When I was pulling it cause people to ask why.  I told them it was like a tall chimney on a house, it caused a draw to pull more fuel thru.   I would guess no one bought into it as I never saw more tall exhaust pipes.  Gets the cackle above my ears.
