Was wondering on the adjment for new traction drive belt what it needs to be set at

Joe - I set mine as tight as I can make that "half moon" metal tension adjuster go.   Doesn't seem that tight to me.   Never have a slippage issue on my hills though.   Mike

Adjust until there is 1/4" between shaves at bottom in slow position. Adjust, run to hi and back to lo until you have the 1/4".     MACK

make SURE it doesn't run on the pins in high speed... or vibrate, which means slack in the bearing to shaft play or a brg down.
