Can you check the stator and rotor on non running engine? I would like to check a used one before installing it.Any help appreciated. Thanks Tracy

each ones will have specific ohm readings on the leads but for the most if it shows a short then its no good

Good thought, Tracy.  

If I would have thought to ask the seller to do that to the "Good Used" set I bought some years ago, I could have saved LOTS of $ and a lot of grief.

Still don't have a working charging system.

I would think there is a way to check them not running. Just to save me the trouble of have to do it twice. Any ideas appreciated. Tracy
