Anybody own or familiar with the Zero Turn "Bad Boy" mowers out there? Going to go look at a ZT "Bad Boy" tomorrow. From what info I got, they are USA made. This one is a "Pro Series" Commercial. Only has 224 hours on it. Has a 27HP Kohler for motivation. TIA!

I test-drove one (on concrete) a couple of weeks ago. Pricey, but it really lives up to its 'zero-turn' capability...and then some!
Driving takes some getting used to (I kept looking for the seat belt!), and I really liked the 'push to go forward/back to go backward' hydrostatic maneuverability.
Test drive it first to be sure you like it. :-)

we service the one that the city owns very impressed on ease of maintiance and how well biult, it is engineered very simple , do not know what model it is or how good it mows but its easy to work on not impesssed by the kawasaki engine

Zero turns are best for high speed mowing. Their biggest downfall is hills - they like to slide. If you have a big flat lawn with few trees, Joanna should be able to start and finish the lawn in 8 minutes!

LMAO! Yeah, you know my wife Myron! Out of the 3.5 acres we have, 3.0 of it is flat lawn. If I let JoAnna on that thing, she'll probably set the land speed record for mowin'. Hmmmm... that's a good idea now that I think about it. Gives me more time to play wit' my toys while she's mowin'.... LOL! Thanks guys for the imput! I appreciate it.

steve, at my previous employer we sold and serviced them. after looking at several brands we went with bad boy because of rugged engineering and simplicity, not to mention comparative machines priced better than the "pay for the name mowers". ie: hustler grasshopper country clipper

I have a Hustler Super Z and love it. Been mowing with Hustlers for 30 years, hills as well as flats ground. Mowed 30 acre of cemetery for 22 years.

Love my Exmarks, no comparison. Can't believe Bad Boy would hold up day to day
commercial mowing, ya get what you pay for. Just my $.02

I was lookin' at one of those Hustlers to. It sold for 6150.00. A little more then I wanted to spend. Looked like a super nice machine though.... Those things can go 16 mph? Somethin' my wife doesn't need to know about! LOL!

When I bought mine they had free financing for 5 years, I thought at a payment of $200.00 a month it will last me the rest of my life and shouldn't need any repairs.

used a lot of them' the grasshopper 721-D got two of them that run each day' your not working on them your mowing. one has 2429 hr's on it only changed belt a few times. tryed the others an your at the truck fixing something it get's old quick. try one or demo one before you buy'

Well, went and purchased a Bad Boy mower that I was looking at. I did a lot of research on all the mowers, especially the Bad Boy mowers and 95% of the owners love em'. The thing they touched on the most was they were easy to service and manuver, and the tough decks they have. A few of the owners were Landscapers. One guy mentioned they use their Bad Boy more than the other two they have. (didn't mention what the other two were) The few negatives that were mentioned were the Kawasaki engines which surprised me. They weren't happy with the performance. This one has a 27HP Kohler Command in it. The fellow I bought this from bought it new and took care of it from day one. He replaced this one with a newer Bad Boy Maverick with the better suspension. Has run Royal Purple synthetic in it since new and changed the oil twice during every mowing season since new. I took it for a test run and mowed some of his lawn for him. Pretty neat machines I must say! First time I was ever on one. Hopefully, this machine will last me a looong time. I'll keep ma' fingers crossed. Me and Big Al got another road trip! LOL!

i also run a landscaping an tree service all my life' put lot's of hours on tools an mowers. tryed a lot of them' what matters the most is if you like the mower you found it don't matter what anyone thanks. if it's what you feel you like ' thats all that matters' good luck with the bad-boy''

Thanks Bob! Hopefully, it'll work out well for me. I'm just doin' my 3 acres. Most of it is pretty flat. A few rolli-polli spots, but should be okay. I like to hear from you Landscaper's. You guys know what works and what doesn't with all those "Green" miles under your butts! LOL!

you don't get very many miles on them green ones' your working on that hi'' dollor junk they sure don't ride very nice at all ether . it's hard to get anything done if your at the truck working on it.

Actually, I was referring to the grass as "Green miles" under your butt. I don't see any Green ZT Tractors at all around these parts. Mostly Exmarks, an occasional Hustler mixed in with a few Scags n' Bad Boys.
