Not mine, tractor said to have been in a shed fire, parting out. Blair is about 30 miles north of Omaha.

| I know of a 185 that looks very similar to that one. Would the internals in one still be okay after being hot like that or would the gears and such be shot. A friend got it and wanted me to get it back to going someday, but i didnt know if one like that would be too far gone. Would the engine still be okay inside? |

I would think that gears, other internal parts, as well as, chassis parts could have lost their tempering from the heat of the fire and cooling. For my 10 cents worth, I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole even if it were free. ------------- Think for yourself and be your own expert. The tires and hyd. hoses didn't burn off of it, it didn't get that hot. I'd be willing to bet the fluids, oil and water are still in it and not boiled off. I doubt the temper is even gone from the light steel in the body parts. It's to far away from me but I wouldn't be to scared of it. It might be the deal of a lifetime. Dennis |

| Parts tractor , if it was in good shape and running before the fireit may have be worth 4K with the loader, as it sets worth about 1000 for rims and sheet metal parts etc, id say trans gera etc are still ok, diidnt get real hot , but i bet alot of seals are shot, Ive know 2 guys who tried to redo fire trctors that had minor engine fires and they both said never again |

Well the one im talking about was free. All the rubber and paint is gone and its warped the sheetmetal and melted all the aluminum stuff like the alt. radiator and injector pump. Due to a hose the transmission lost all of the oil too but the drain plug was wet. I pulled the top off the transmission and this is what I found. That tractor looks like it wasn't near at hot though.
