I put a new set of factory correct battery cables on my 616 and the cables are too short to have the terminals pointing toward the grill and I can believe they are meant to be pointed towards the engine.  Are there differant configurations of Side terminal batterys where the position of the + and - are flipped?

apparently my tractor just came with too tall of a battery.  Correct battery is a 70-1 side post.

I would imagine the posts could be in different positions. The top post batteries come either way.

I think that the side mount terminals come both ways as well. Left to right or right to left, pending on the way ya look at it.
