I'm interested in learning about these garden tractors. Any advice on how to get started? I found a nice B210 that has never been used! Before I call about it, what is a fair price for this? Thanks. As a package assuming the 210 has never run, I'd say over a grand. A running B10 is $200-300, the cart is $150 or so and a run of the mill 210 would be worth $400-500. Add a couple hundred more for the only "new" 210 left on the planet. AaronSEIA

unless that "new" one has been in a temp controlled room all its life, I believe it is a almost completely refurbished unit. look at the pics a little better!

Might be hasn't had gas since restore. I believe a B210 should have black plastic sleeve under steering wheel to cover lock collar. Most of them get ruined removing steering wheel. Mid PTO was an option back then, but you rarely see one without it.

Steve, If you don't get that package deal, the 700 series Tractors are also pretty cool to start with to. My first two were 716H's. Had a lot of fun doin' the first one. My nephew has that one now. The second one I'm working on and off right now. I dropped a Kohler Command 18HP twin in it. Still in construction yet, but havin' fun doin' that one to! Also a big plus with these L&G units is the parts are lighter for a guy like me with a bad back and that's also built close to the ground.... LOL! Steve@B&B

Stevo, Thanks man. I can dig the lower and lighter. I ain't getting no younger! I'm a bit overwhelmed here on all the different models and such. Plus, I've never worked on one of these beasts. Are manuals available? Where from? I guess I just need to buy one and jump right in! Thanks all! Steve

That tractor should not be used and must be preserved, it if is truly that new. If that was on eBay it could get WAY up there in price.

Ken, the sleeve was used on the B-110 and B-112 only. This B-210 looks correct.

what kind of search terms do you guys use in Craigs List to find these tractors? What is a good model to start with?

I just search Allis Chalmers. The B10 seems to be the most common. Basically the same as the B110. I don't have the info on my phone, but you can download free manuals for the Simplicity versions of the machines for free from their web site. Most parts can be found and there are some great collectors here, on Facebook, and the www.simpletractors.com web site. That web site is a great resource for pictures, info, and anything else you might want to know about them. Lot of guys are using Fastenal to ship whole machines now. I think under a couple hundred will get one shipped, that is cheaper than they can be bought for in some parts of the world. AaronSEIA

I do several different searches. First I type the word Allis in the search bar for a Craigslist area. Reason being is because so many people have a hard time spelling out Allis Chalmers. I'll search Allis Chalmers then finally I'll just search tractor. (Not too many people misspell that word) Some people will just list them as a tractor and have no clue what the brand name is. Simplicity is also a good search word to use for garden equipment. I'll also check out everything in the farm and garden section of a certain area. Check several areas in regions of the US. I have found many interesting items by doing multiple searches

If you use something like searchtempest it's pretty easy to search multiple cities in a given distance from your house. I have an app called C list Pro on my smart phone. Actually prefer it to anything for searches. AaronSEIA
