We finished up painting our 8550 today. It's not restoration quality, but good for a working girl that will stay here until she blows. Just waiting for the decals now. We went to Murray Nebraska and bought a scraper to pull with it so she can earn her keep when it dries up.

Don't flame me on the paint color - I own the tractor and that's the color I like!

its too bad they never made a power shift to fit these, it would be really handy on a scraper after loading to speed up instead of having to stop and shift.  although im not sure i would want to run a scraper with one as they are very hard on tractors

At least it has the PD button on the floor!

We will mainly use it on stripping topsoil where we will build a terrace and then put it back - So very short runs.

If we build a lake and have long hauls, I'll put a 4x4 powershift tractor on it.

Yes, the decals will help!

The building behind it is a old 1930's gas station that got a much needed facelift last year. Here is a link that shows how it looked years ago:

Why don't you move down here and open it back up again? I can see it now:

Those Ashland scrapers are built good and heavy, boss just got through renting one for a job. A word on the PD with a scraper is to not use it and stop and shift gears. Talked to a guy a long time ago that tore the PD up pulling scrapers, but I don't know size of scraper and the whole story on it.

I would love to come see your setup sometime. I believe you talked with my dad and I at a sale in Mokane a couple months ago. We were trying to buy the 8070. It was nice meeting you.

Stop in anytime! Bring a nickle for the tour!
