No responses? Many components like brakes are not necessarily made by Allis but are adapted from some other use. I would not be surprised if the brake drum was originally made as an emergency brake drum for a truck of that vintage. The challenge will be to find what it was adopted from and then finding a source for parts. The transaxle was made by Clark.

Most likely. There is a strong suspicion around here that the brake assemblies on an AC 45 are the same as on an early Cat 12. Maybe different shoe widths but we haven't researched further as yet.

I have a CAT 212 as well, but have not compared the two. I know the Galion 503 is the same drum. A DODGE Powewagon has the same setup as well, however the drum diameter is 8.5 versus 10.5 inches.

Yeah, the Galion and the D grader used the same Clark transaxle.
