The hd5 and hd6  and td9 used the same winch model

One problem is they are driven by output shaft on transmission - and if you have loader that means counterweights would block access .
One option might be to go to unit with a hydraulic motor .
Also as winch is transmission driven - it would mean clutch engagement when winch is used .

your best option for a HD5 would be a Carco E24 or EA an Issacson WO6-9 is similar to the EA and was also fitted to TD6 and TD9'S

If I recall correctly, Allis has a  different drive shaft to IH. There is a slight difference in the mounting stud pattern between the two makes of tractor. Ive used Carco from IH tractors on HD6

I fitted a WO 6-9 Issacson to the Buda HD6E I purchased in 1974 ,it bolted straight up, I think there is a difference in driveshaft length, although the splines are the same, I recently acquired a E 3O Carco winch believed to be off a TD9 I had to lengthen the shaft to make it  the correct length.
