Big Thanks to all that came. the American Threshermans and GOTO is over and a great success. I kept telling the club to be ready and the AC crowd came thru in flying colors. The show set a new Total Tractor numbers with over 1200 tractors and we (Allis Chalmers) set a new record for the most Featured Tractors with over 500 tractors. The exact number will be known a little later. It was a great turnout.
My two biggest let downs was the absent of "The Allis Connection" who did even show up and the fact that for some reason they set the Parts Sellers at a hard to find place. But all in all, a great show and a big thanks to Heidi and Dave with Old Allis News for bringing the GOTO to Pinckneyville Illinois and a great job by the Triple A Allis club for putting it all together.

Just got back home, finishing up a 3,800 mile trip out West to visit my brother and then back across to the GOTO, what a show!, the only two I know to thank and acknowledge are Chuck Whitaker and Dennis Stork, the AAA Club did a great job of welcoming everyone and making it all come together, believe me, it is a job to throw a show of this size. It was HOT, but it was nice, great job guys and gals! Quite the surprise to see some of our forum members that haven’t been on lately, truly added to the show!

Glad to meet everybody who went. Took 7 tractors and went home with 10. 3 loads 800 miles total for the week.

If you want a man to be a successful farmer, give him a Allis Chalmers tractor. If you want him to be a successful mechanic, give him a John Deere

den, those are incredible numbers! 1200 tractors and 500 feature is off the charts to me. I don't think the grounds are big enough for that many at my local show.

Was good talking with you Joe , thanks for coming from so far. Tractors and equipment are great but it is the people and the memories that are the important part.
AsJoe stated thanks to AAA Tractor Club, American Steamthreasher Association ,The Midwest AC club for sponsoring this event. Special shout out to Charlie Whitaker for all his efforts promoting this event for the last several years. Thanks Den So.Il for all you did to get this show scheduled and for bringing your lawnmower collection. Thanks to anyone who brought stuff and thanks to those that made time to attend. Going Orange is going great. |

Well, it’s Monday about 2:00 pm and I’m just getting my butt back home after 7 days of being in Pinckneyville IL. All I can say is WOW. I don’t have the words in my vocabulary to express how I feel or to describe the events of the past few days. To the people who came and especially to those who brought tractors or equipment, THANK YOU ! My job of being a cheerleader and parking tractors was easy compared to driving or hauling stuff for hundreds of miles to some small southern Illinois town that a lot of people had never heard of before. It’s those kind of people that make these shows great. The American Thresherman Association have always had a super show year after year but I believe that the Gathering of the Orange family has make a lasting impression on them. The Triple A club thanks you for your support. Until we meet again………. Chuck.
PS Last I heard UNOFFICIALLY, over 1300 tractors, 513 being ACs

Sorry I didn't get a chance to say hey Chuck, haven't run into you since Pontiac a few years ago. Glad the show seems like a major success, it was my first time there and it was fun!
