Goto post a couple of my pet peeve.
People talk about their Hot Water Heater. I'd like to know, how do one heat hot water ? An engine is NOT a motor. Motor, A motor gets it's power from an outside source , usually electricity. An engine uses fuel to produce power. America is two Continents, North America and South America. There is NOT an American Flag. The Stars and Bars is the Flag of the United States Of America. Dusty

A twist drill is not a drill bit. A masonry drill is a drill bit. It has a carbide bit on the end. It wasn't called the Acme Cleveland Twist Drill BIT company.
When people that are taking things apart say they got it "blown apart". |

Um, well, to unthaw something would be to freeze it, and it's already frozen, so.... |

I just put the cruise on and let them figure it out!! Or you can change lanes and then get on their butt! They want you to go faster cause the cop is going to stop the first car or the last car.

With all the fancy lights on the front of vehicles, my peeve may not be valid... but I don't care for those who have fog lights on when there is no fog. at least that used to be my pet peeve.

my pet peeve is people that call a nozzle an injector. A nozzle is hydraulically operated by pump line and nozzle. An injector is a pump and nozzle in an unit mechanically operated by the cam shaft. My fuel injection instructor would flunk anyone who called a nozzle an injector. This was according to the Diesel engineering handbook we used in class.

Absolutely agree Floyd. Another one for me is when people say "you need to do this, that's the way I did it". Bugs the hell out of me. Especially when it comes from my in-laws |

My biggest pet peeve is to have to follow some AH on highway that ain't got a lick of sense bout the state highway laws,,,!! New Mexico has signs all over the state that state "LEFT LANE FOR PASSING ONLY",,and Texas has the same thing and prolly most other states do as well,,! I hate coming up on a slow moving trk in right lane and some AH be tooting along in the passing lane,,at same speed as the slow moving trk and do that for miles. I've pulled up on the AH and flash my lights til they finally see me and pull over into the right hand lane. I usually kick into passing gear and flip em off as I speed by em,.,,,,Goldurned road hogs,,,!!!!

That's an oddly specific pet peeve. ….'least you probably don't run into it often....er….maybe you do since you're lookin' out for it.... Hmmm....so a nozzle is operated by a nozzle....??? And....I'd like to see the way it was written in the book. Sounds like getting hung up on cap screws and bolts.

Riders that leave the high beams on constantly with motorcycles, or worse yet, the ones that have them constantly flashing hi/low.
Another one, the new Ferd pickups with the brightest darn lights ever that seem to go to highbeam automatically, constantly on just an overcast day . . . . .

One that really bothers me, is a left hand stacking / turning lane at a traffic light, and the people put enough room between them and the one in front of them to put a 18 wheeler. Just move up, and let more people enjoy the green light!

Dave in PA. I hope you never have to drive thru Iowa when they have RAGBRI. Thousands of idiots on bicycles come to ride across the state from west to east. Every one of these clowns is breaking most traffic laws. I had to go pull the grandsons car out of the ditch. He came over the top of a hill and had to take the ditch to keep from killing a dozen or more of them riding on the wrong side of the road. And not one of the bozos stopped to see if he was ok.
I was run off the road years ago by a bunch of them while I was driving a truck loaded with 1800 gallons of gas. Some clown running for state representative came up to me today riding his dam bicycle. I told him to keep peddling, and let him know how i felt about anyone on a bicycle on a highway. Every dam bicycle on the highways outta have a license plate and proof of insurance just like any body in a car or truck. Rant over!Edited by HD6GTOM - 30 May 2020 at 5:50pm |

We have 'The Katy Trail' not five miles from here, the bicyclists are working to get the Rock Island Trail up and running but the Morons DO NOT USE THEM. They ride our secondary roads as "the Trails Are not Challenging Enough":. OK then ALL the trails go BYE BYE and they all HAVE to get road license pass tests and have their own insurance. I am SO Done with bicyclers.
