For the past few years, our family (mostly my wife !) have put together a holiday display in our yard. This year, our local PBS affiliate approached us about doing a short segment on it. It aired tonight (Friday, October 22) at 8 PM.

There isn't anything AC about it this year, except me wearing my usual AC hat. Last year our theme was a farm setting and we had an old WD-45 and an All Crop 60 in the display.

Here is the link to the show if anyone wants to watch.

That's impressive.

We had a Halloween party for kids several years ago pre cellphone days. Had a hay wagon ride and pulled it with my WD. Down through a wooded area and across a shallow creek. It was dark and you will get lost in there if you don't know the area. Gummies were hanging from trees to brush the heads of the kids when we went through. Trails were marked, dead mans pass with an axe stuck in a tree painted blood red and partial skeleton laying there.

I was a werewolf with hair glued on all exposed skin. Wife was the grim reaper carrying a scythe. BIL was Freddy with chainsaw that would chase the wagon ever so often, said it about killed him, homelite super XL. Ride was 3/4 mile. MIL was a Witch, very fitting with a cauldron dunking a friends head in it.

Scarecrow in a tree that was cut loose and swung across the path over the wagon. Coworkers wife was overseer of the wagon.
Big gal square bale wide sat in the front of the wagon. Going down a steep hill in the driveway, idling in first gear and the tires started kicking back. That was a oh chit moment. Her and 10 kids, steep banks on each side. Got through that and puuled into a field in front of the house and mysterious the the WD died, cranking and cranking couldn't get it started. some of the littler kids were getting nervous, still 300 yards from the house. Told everybody we had to get off and walk.

Turned on a spotlight and there was a cemetery, Zombie chewy on some bones. head sticking out of a grave. I made a coffin out of a refrigerator box and my SIL was in it as a Vampire and my youngest son completely lost his chit then. Mom wasn't much help because she was the grim reaper with a mask on. I got him calmed down, a little skeptical at first. Loaded everybody back up and went back to the house.

It was a good time but I will never do it again. At some point, couldn't keep track of everybody, kids weren't involved, I knew where they all were at all times. Some things were stolen, some hidden cash, not much, few misc items.
Just the fact it happened is the disappointing issue.
