I had a reaction at work yesterday. Don’t know what from? I had bureatos from the winder at the gas station as I was on the run at lunch. I got all wooziest and covered with hives. My lips swelled til they split open. Called Jenn and she made Kevin my coworker drive me in. They’re paving the road headed to town. We were stopped waiting to go when I looked at Kevin and told him that I’m about to over take Jenn and be running the show at home. I’ve never heard him laugh that hard. They gave me a shot in the butt and I went home and slept 13 hrs. I could lay down and sleep right now again. Lol

Dang!!
![]() Last week I got stung in the face by a little bitty honey bee. Never had a reaction but then again it has been 30-40 years since being stung by one. My face didn't swell but under my arm the lymph node swelled up to the size of a golf ball and was red and hot and hurt. Thank goodness it was pretty much gone by the next day. Crazy.

Thad,
Take it easy for a day or so! Sounds like you were allergic to something! Regards, Chris

Must be allergic to something you ate. Try to figure out what was in that burrito that isn't in what you normally eat. (re-refried beans?). Allergic to anything else? Read the label and see if it has any allergen warnings, i.e you wouldn't think a burrito would have peanuts in it but could have been processed with peanut oil.
For years I was told how good hydrocodone was for pain and it never did anything for me the few times I was prescribed it. They upped the amount when I got kidney stones and I broke out in hives. They decided I was allergic to it and that was probably why it never did me any good, duh! Odd thing was just as the hives were going away I ate some fresh tomatoes and they came back in vengeance. That reacted with the hydrocodone although I can eat tomatoes now with no ill effects.

I just went thru all them tests for allergic reactions and other tests, a doc about 20 years ago said I was allergic to penicillin, now i'm taking it twice a day with no affects. Thad...I guess I wouldn't eat there again until it happens again. also may have been a sweat bee bite? they are real bad right now. our bodies change as we age! glad you came out o-k. ask doc if you need to carry an epi pen? just for safety. a buddy of mine told me that if he gets stung by a bee, he only has about 10 minutes to live. be extra careful out there all of you!

Don't think I would eat at that place again. Must have been something in them that you are allergic to, maybe shouldn't have been in there. Sounds like they gave you a megadose of Benadryl so it will take a while to get out of your system. Take it easy and let someone else drive for a couple of days.

My wife is a nurse and she’s thoroughly looked into everything I’ve ate the last couple days. The bureatos were cooked in soybean oil?? I don’t eat raw tomatoes and never have. That’s the only thing I know of that I’m allergic to. The nurse asked if I was allergic to anything and I told her shots in the butt. I had roofers at work yesterday. They roofed a 4700 Sq ft house yesterday. We just installed new “WHITE” soffit and facia they used gray drip edge. I can’t begin to understand how this happened. It’s not the first time either. Not a happy camper today. I have a walk through with subs and home owners at 10 this morning then I think I’ll go home and sleep.

Maybe color blind roofers! Go take a nap! Regards, Chris
