Got a friend at church that is looking for a used engine for a Ford 1300, Shibaura .8L 2cyl diesel engine. According to a thread on YT the concensus there is to scrap it for parts and get an updated tractor. I am taking him a list of salvage yards in the southeast that possibly have a few 1300's. Apparently the engine is a weak point on these tractors and parts are hard to find. I told him that if he had an old orange tractor he wouldn't have that problem. Any advice other than to scrap it? Thanks in advance.

Stuff for those are out there. Keep looking. I know a couple guys that breathed life back into them. Shiburu is far from an orphan.
